Neon circuit tester has no power by itself but uses a neon indicator light connected to a ballast resistor, and the light only glows when power is present. As the voltage increases, the neon test light glows brighter.
11) What is the indication of neon polarity indicator used for checking AC supply?
Both electrodes will glow

Megger
The Megger is the instrument uses for measuring the resistance of the insulation. It works on the principle of comparison, i.e., the resistance of the insulation is compared with the known value of resistance. If the resistance of the insulation is high, the pointer of the moving coil deflects towards the infinity, and if it is low, then the pointer indicates zero resistance. The accuracy of the Megger is high as compared to other instruments.
Megger is used to test the new wiring installation.
Magnetic effect
When we switch on a light bulb, it is due to the heating effect of electric current, and when we turn the ceiling fan on, it is due to the magnetic effect of current.
Magnetic Effect of Electric Current – A magnetic field is a force field that is created by magnetic dipoles and moving electric charges, and it exerts a force on other nearby moving charges and magnetic dipoles.
800 watt
800 watt is the maximum permissible load for a light and fan sub circuit as per IE rules.
Postive (+ve) and negative (-ve)
In a direct current (DC) circuit, current flows in one direction only, and one pole is always negative and the other pole is always positive. In an alternating current (AC) circuit the two poles alternate between negative and positive and the direction of the current (electron flow) reverses periodically.
